The 49ers are adding a veteran edge rusher.

Per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Ogbo Okoronkwo is signing with San Francisco on Wednesday.

Okoronkwo, 31, spent last season with the Eagles. He played just one game, suffering a torn triceps in the contest and went on injured reserve.

Okoronkwo previously played under 49ers defensive coordinator Raheem Morris with the Rams, with the pair having won Super Bowl LVI to cap the 2021 season.

A fifth-round pick in the 2018 draft, Okoronkwo has appeared in 81 games with 13 starts, recording 17.0 sacks, 31 tackles for loss, and 38 quarterback hits.
